True true, it's easier to believe a hospital needs a rogue genius than a major police force. The only way Sherlock can work is if Lestrade & co. are dumb as a box of rocks, cops are hopeless, and forensic science is comically useless. Which, in a post-CSI tv landscape, you're right, it doesn't make any sense. And that's all the show has, which is where I fall off the boat. I'm willing to go along with a Cracker-esque super-sleuth conceit if it has a, well, Cracker level of complexity and depth. Otherwise it's just like. This show is about nothing at all. It's got nothing in it. It's shiny and fun, but so is Bones and a dozen other tv shows that are not entirely about white cock pairings.
