Am I the only person on the planet who doesn't care about the new Sherlock? I didn't dislike the first season, but there's really nothing in it that excites me. Hmm.

In other news, I went thrifting for lamp parts and came home with a new flat cap instead, bc it's not like I don't have enough of those. Am still intent on making a lamp, though, my kitchen cabinets cast unfortunate shadows and I got the itch to Make Shit.

I was under the impression that the BBC Sherlock fandom was its own separate entity? Not that I'm in any particular position to know.

Idk. I enjoy getting my panties in a twist but it's not the show's fault for not being my cuppa.

most of the Sherlock fans I've met adore the original ACD stories as well, and a lot of the fun is in how the new show references the canon. I guess it's kind of like Doctor Who in that, even though it is a very good show on it's own merits, it probably wouldn't be as successful if it didn't have a long history and legions of fans already
